The first time I used Discount Mugs, there was a printing error with my order, and the staff was quick, professional, and understanding in replacing everything. Thanks to the help I received, I will always use Discount Mugs, and recommend the site to everyone. On this order, I was far more careful with my instructions, and everything was exceptional, the constant communication, the quality of the products, the packing job. The printing was clear and sharp, and having the tracking numbers proved very helpful to make sure things were picked up on time from our staffer's house. Many of the pens came only partially assembled which was inconvenient and time-consuming due to the amount of time needed to check them all prior to displaying them at a conference. A disproportionate number had cracks in various components making them unusable and embarrassing to hand out as a marketing tool. Although I had ordered from Discount Pens several other times, this order and the general handling of it from a customer standpoint was a huge disappointment.

Requested sample of a tote bag, waited and then was told there was a $5 charge after we had waited a week and then that operator told the bag was no longer available. Saw it online and called again - was told to fax a request which we did. No one called for the credit card, which is what I was told would happen. I called again, and finally got an answer from Ashley Fernandez - she got the information and had the tote mailed to us. In the 2 months that this took to get a sample, our client decided not to place the order. I hope your sample request process is looked at for streamlining as it cost you (and our agency) a purchase by a client. I like the website and the email updates.

My experience has gone down hill since i first began business. You should be able to order a variety of colors of an item. Although i have been permitted to do this thanks to the very first person that ever helped me, it has been such a hassle. If ordering 500 of the same item, why is it so hard to get 100 of 5 different colors and still receive 500 piece pricing. rnIt also tends to take a very long time to get an order. I have waited weeks to receive my order, only to find out one color was out of stock, and no one called me, i had to pursue it. The communciation with the customer could be tightened up.

I ordered personalized pens. About 1/3 of them were great; the rest were okay. Many of the "silver" rings (where the barrel unscrews apart) were very rough where they were soldered together, making it uncomfortable to hold the pens. Some of the soldering was sharp and scratched the user's skin. For the price, I didn't expect high quality, but there should be better quality control. I certainly don't want to give my clients pens that can injure them!rnrnWith that exception, the overall experience was very good. Someone called me to verify an unusual name spelling, which was a nice thing for you to do.rnOne criticism: I entered a list of names for my personalized water bottles, but the names didn't appear on any screen during the checkout process. I think it would be nice to list the names so that I could verify them. When I have ordered from other places like Personalization Mall or Things Remembered, they echo back the personalization during the order confirmation process. I continued along the ordering process, hoping to see the list of names echoed back. I finished the step before the payment step and was surprised to see an order number created. I don't know of any other shopping website that creates an order before going through the entire process including payment. Since I was concerned about not being able to see the names, I abandoned the order at that point. I contacted customer service, who indicated that the order would be ignored since it was not paid for. (note: this was in another account that used a different email address). Anyway I think creating an order number before going through the entire checkout process is unusual and to me it was alarming.

I ordered 50 stainless steel travel mugs. They are good quality except I noticed a few mugs have lost the bottom rubber pad. Also on the lid the chrome came delaminated from the rest of the lid. I gave the mugs away to clients and friends and some people have told me about the defects and I have noticed them on my personal mugs. The ordering process was easy and I am happy overall.

I was very pleased with the quality of my custom pens. The one suggestion I would have is in regards to the newsletter. I often click on a specific picture thinking it will link directly to that item, but instead it takes me to the homepage and I have to track down the item myself. It is also unclear which items are on sale as they are not singled out anywhere. I like to wait for sales, but I cannot check and memorize the prices from day to day.

In the first place I couldn't believe the prices were so low. I was almost expecting a "cheap" looking product- but we got high quality shotglasses. The website was easy to use and it was so great to be able to put it together and move it around to see almost exactly what they would look like whey they arrived. The design studio could be a little more user friendly-ex:showing where the printing space on item is, so the centering and design can be exactly what you want. Other things to look into would be adding more clipart and font choices for designing. The package did arrive, looking like it had been through a war zone. The box was crushed in and taped with sealing tape. My son designed the graphics and embedded Margaret Popo's 95th Birthday April 7, 2009, for his grandmother's birthday party. This is my first time to order from your company, I have been back and forth with art dept not until the third revisions, that the proof was finalized. When the proof was finalized, I was then notified via email that the travel mugs I ordered was out of stock. I placed the order end of Jan. my credit card was charged for the order, and when it's about time to process the order, the travel mugs are out of stock. We received the final products tonight, and there is a minor 'art' (printing) error, which is fine. I personally fell that there is NO excuse for the travel mugs I initially order to be out of stock, due to the delay in the finalization of proof. Ana Cid was nice, and apologetic, however, I knew it's not her fault, and there was nothing much she can do but to suggest 'replacement' mugs.
